Socializing

autocratically Socializing is a way of breaking down our isolation and getting to know other people in a nonsexual context — at fellowship after meetings, in supportive organizations and groups, and in the community at large. Spend time with people. Isolation is a part of our disease. Find ways to be in contact with people. Meetings are good, but the company of others is good too. The only limit is that those people must support our sobriety even if they don’t know we are addicts. We can also “socialize” by posting to forum message boards and recovery groups which support sobriety.
