Physical Activity

Spend time doing fun activities, and get involved in sports, exercise, and other physical activities. This is useful for all addicts and particularly important for those who became sedentary with their addictions. No matter what the activity (even cleaning) releases natural endorphins in the brain which help us feel healthy.Do remember to balance your life with some fun and some work activity.

Join a gym, craft club or activity center. Focus your energy. Remember this is a sober activity, not a pickup nor trigger. If group activities are a trigger, walk or do solo activities.

Exercise regularly. Exercise helps our depression (we all get that from time to time) and keeps our bodies more aware, awake and alert.

Balance keeps us real, keeps us clean, keeps us sober.
