Affirmations

Positive messages or sayings that help us to stay up-beat are called affirmations.

A simple message of “you are a good person“, when we are having a bad day, can turn the day around and solidify our commitment to stay sober for that moment.

Some people in recovery start their days off by reading a prepared list or by reading from an affirmations book.  This practice can help to start the day off in such a good positive way that we are ready to deal with any trials to our recovery that may occur that day.
